To design and build with confidence you need the information in a format, you can work with and you can find it all in a site plan. It begins with a field survey to establish the existing boundaries and is a perfect way to identify and map the surface features of the terrain in a measured area. Site plan gathers all necessary data to establish the existing boundary lines, the natural and man-made features of the land, as well as its terrain. Showing the footprint of the home, driveway, footpaths, boundary treatments including walls, fences and hedges, surfacing such as tarmac, concrete, gravel & grass etc, significant trees, grading and utility, bunds and ditches, drainage and drainage information such as manhole covers & gullies etc. It also shows characteristic spot levels, and levels along the boundaries as well as levels taken from the eaves, ridges, steps, and decks. This type of survey may be required by engineers and/or architects for the design of improvements or developments on a site as this survey also helps to identify any areas where construction may be difficult or require levelling work, not to mention the potential impact from higher slopes near the proposed construction location.
We use 3D laser scanners, total stations and many other digital tools, but the level of details is adjusted to the client requirements. All data from the survey is extracted into right software and provided in a digital or hard copy (on request).
The survey information is available in digital CAD file formats. The supplied CAD file formats are ‘.dwg’ and ‘.dxf’ and they are compatible with many other CAD software such as AutoCAD, GstarCAD, SketchUp, 3DMax, Vectorworks, ZWCAD+, BricsCAD, etc.
Topographical Survey drawings are set out at 1:100, 1:125, 1:150, 1:200, 1:250, 1:500 scale (A3 sheet). Units used in producing the drawings are millimetres at a scale of 1:1 rounded to the nearest centimetre.
We pride itself on the quality of our drawings and this is clearly demonstrated with the high level of details and standards. If you are on the lookout for topographical survey drawings of your property, you’re in the right place.
